| We need to make big changes to prepare for climate change—Re.Climate’s new PREPARE framework can help. October 7th 2026 12 p.m.-1:15 p.m. ET REGISTER NOW Over the last two years, Re.Climate has worked with ClimateWest, the regional hub for climate services in the Prairies, and SevGen Consulting Inc., an Indigenous-owned consulting firm, on the Climate Ready Prairies project, developing training and guidance on communicating and engaging with communities in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba on climate adaptation and preparedness. Now we are excited to share how this work and insights from the region can be useful to anyone across Canada. The PREPARE Framework distills that work from the Climate Ready Prairies project into a clear set of practices It was developed with and for Prairie communities but offers an approach that communicators in the other parts of the country can use and adapt. Join Re.Climate for our webinar “From Concern to Action: Introducing the PREPARE Framework” and hear from the researchers who developed the Framework and communications practitioners on what it takes to put people at the centre of climate preparedness. The webinar will also touch on how communicating about adaptation differs from mitigation, how Indigenous and regional knowledge and expertise shaped the framework, and the latest on framing and language that can build understanding of climate preparedness. The PREPARE Framework is a valuable tool for anyone helping their community to get ready for climate impacts. Please note that this webinar will be conducted in English.
